Accra, Tuesday, 4th July 2023 – The Managing Director of Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC, Mr. Benjamin Dzoboku, on 1st July 2023, hosted the Staff of the Bank to a thrilling durbar at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The Blue Family from the entire country converged in Accra under the theme, ‘Sailing the Blue Ship across Turbulent Times, Our Core Values, Our Anchor’.
The event sought to reiterate the Bank’s Core Values of Customer Focus, Respect for the Individual, Integrity, Professionalism and Results Orientation as key tenets to reinvigorate the family for the rest of the year and beyond.
Mr. Benjamin Dzoboku expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the staff for their contributions and outstanding efforts towards making the durbar a huge success. He added, “Your commitment to upholding our core values, which make up our common strength, is commendable. We are fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated team of professionals working together towards a common goal.”
The speakers on the day included Dr. John McMahon, an international Management Consultant who shared very practical ways to overcome ‘Icebergs’ (Challenges) in the workplace. His session centered on teamwork and taking feedback with positivity.
The renowned motivational speaker, playwright and CEO of Roverman Productions, Uncle Ebo Whyte electrified staff with his in-depth nuggets of wisdom and true-life examples.
Highlights of the activities at the event were the Best Cheering Team Challenge, which was won by the Swedru Branch and the Blue Trivia Quiz Session won by the joint representation of Republic Investments Ghana Limited and Republic Trust Limited Company, both subsidiaries of the Group.
Similar staff engagement events were held in October and November last year for the Northern and Southern Sectors respectively. However, the entire staff met under the same roof for this durbar.
A cross-section of the staff expressed their excitement after the event. They pledged their support to helping the Bank achieve its goals for the year and beyond, and to continue to live the core values.
