Republic Bank (Ghana) Limited, a subsidiary of Republic Financial Holding Limited is set to be a platinum sponsor of the upcoming Ghana Extractive Industry Safety Conference (GHISCon) to be held at Takoradi from the 25th to 26th September, 2019. The Conference is being organized by the Sekondi Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STCCI).
Over the past five (5) years, Republic Bank has partnered STCCI to organised this conference. According to the Managing Director of the Bank, Farid Antar, Republic Bank has been a major player in the Extractive Industry in the Caribbean. “One of our vision in Ghana is to be a Bank of choice for the Extractive Sector. Our strength as a Bank in the Caribbean is in financing the Extractive Sector especially in local content financing. We, therefore, seek to support the Governments’ vision of building more local content in the Oil and Gas and other Extractive activities in Ghana” – the Managing Director added.
GHISCon is organized annually in partnership with Ghana’s Ministry of Employment & Labour Relations and International Organizations. The Conference is aimed at promoting the culture of safety in the Extractive Industry in Ghana.
The Managing Director of Republic Bank will be addressing the opening session while the Corporate Banking Division of the Bank will be delivering a presentation on Climate Change: Implication of Investors and Financial Institution.
