Mrs. Evelyn Osei-Tutu

CEO, Republic Boafo

Mrs. Evelyn Osei-Tutu is a seasoned Banker with over 30 years’ experience and technical expertise in Microfinancing and Banking in the Informal Sector.

She is currently the Managing Director of Republic Boafo Limited, a subsidiary of Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC. Republic Boafo Limited is a Joint Venture between Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC and Global Communities of USA.

Mrs. Osei-Tutu holds an MBA (Marketing Strategy) from the University of Ghana Business School, a BSc. (Banking & Finance/French) from Regent University College of Science and Technology and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management, Ghana.

Evelyn began her banking career with Merchant Bank Ghana Limited (now UMB) where she worked in various capacities, before being seconded as one of the pioneering Staff from the then Merchant Bank to start the Home Finance Company (HFC) – now Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC. After a couple of years with HFC, she had the opportunity again to play a pioneering role in the set-up of HFC Informal Sector (HFC INSOP) which has transformed into Republic Boafo Limited.

She has been pivotal in the growth and expansion of Republic Boafo Limited from a one-branch company to 25 branches dotted across Ghana over the past 15 years.

Mrs. Osei-Tutu was also an Executive Member of the Youth Inclusive Entrepreneurial Development Initiative for Employment (YIEDIE) Team established by Global Communities (USA) and The Master Card Foundation (USA).
